The Academy of Fine Arts was established seven years ago by a group of musicians at Christ
Lutheran Church who were concerned about the decline of music education in the
Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system.
Today, the Academy is well known in the community as a place where children and adults
receive year-round quality music and art education in a nurturing, professional environment.
The Academy offers instruction in voice, piano, strings, woodwinds, percussion, Kidz Muzic,
Art, Acting, Music Appreciation, and woodworking.
An independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3), the Academy is located in the Education Building at
Christ Lutheran Church.
